At our estate you will find rest.
In the northwest of Burgundy, some 15 km west of Auxerre, you will find the village Beauvoir in the sloping landscape of the Yonne area. There is magnificent scenery, which changes every month giving a lovely (re)creative holiday in a 250 year old, completely renovated mansion on more than one hectare of land.
The house has been furnished in a friendly and relaxing way, but has a professional kitchen and a comfortable dining room. Except for one, all double rooms are furnished with box-spring beds, private shower or bath, toilet and wash-basin. Bath- and bed linen are included.
The coach-house has been fully renovated to make a cosy room in which several activities can take place. Behind the coach house there is plenty of parking space. Between the main building and the coach-house you will find two work-rooms for creative courses, such as ceramics.
The Domaine borders on a large garden and pond with a brick arched bridge, a small wood and a meadow. In the garden there are many snug corners and resting places, which offer an excellent view of the main building, the wood, the pond and the environment with fields on the surrounding hills.
Sometimes you may hear a tractor, sometimes a whinnying horse, sometimes a car, twice a day the horn from the baker, but usually you only hear the birds and the soft sound of the fountain in the pond. Thanks to the clear sky in this area and the lack of artificial light in the surroundings, the night sky is very beautiful. As it gets darker, more and more stars will show. From our terrace many people have worked out which constellation is which, and many satellites have been counted. But which bird can be heard every night with a shrill sound? And listen, isn’t that a woodpecker? And do I see squirrels? And what is that? A badger?
In short, an ideal place for a (re)creative holiday. Since we are open the whole year through, you can also book special arrangements as requested (e.g. birthday, wedding, family reunion, bridge weekend, golf clinic) or business outing, but please contact us as early as possible.
